Apple Color Easy Reader Book & Clip Cards
Apples are one of my favorite fall themes. They are so fun for kids to work with. And I love using them in printables.
Today we have the free apple theme color book with matching clip cards. I love it when you can put two printables together and make them work.
I know that people love the easy reader books because kids can have their own book. So they can read the book and then clip the matching color words.
This printable is a great addition to the apple printables on the site.
I love it when you can review or introduce something in an easy reader book. It allows kids to colors and makes it their own book.
And colors are something you work on all year round. And putting colors in a book with different themes helps them learn. It is fun to color the apple loads of colors besides red, yellow, and green.
Each page in the book has an apple and tells you what color it is. You can see the red page below.
There are matching clip cards for the colors in the book. They have the color of the apple plus three other color words for them to pick from.
I recommend printing these on cardstock

How to Make your Apple Color Easy Reader Book
I always get questions about how the easy reader books are made. So I wanted to share the steps I do to make the books.
I print out all the pages. Then I line them up and cut them down the centerline. You can see the pages cut below.
Then I alternate the pages ever other page. The odd numbers are on the top of the pages and even on the bottom of the pages.
Then I staple the pages with three or four staples for the book. I do this so that the book will stay together better.
How to use the Apple Easy Reader Book and Clip Cards
You can have them go through the book and color all the apples in the book. This could be a center activity or a group activity
After they color the apples you can have them underline the matching color word.
Now you can do the clip cards a few ways. You can just clip the cards. We use clothespins
Or you could match the clip cards to the page in the book. That is what makes these fun
