Animal Books My Tween Likes To Read

One part of that has changed over the last few years is what are reading and doing. We have progressed to reading bigger books and series! My oldest is really into animals right now. She has been reading several animal series that she has loved! I thought this would be fun to share some of those older books that she is reading now.

These are 7 of my tweens favorites books that she picked out for this post. I have also enjoyed reading them along with her.

Warriors #1: Into the Wild (Warriors: The Prophecies Begin) is a series about wild cats and their clans and ways. This has been a fun series to see the different names and ways that the cats have. This series many books that follow many different clans.

The Capture (Guardians of Ga’hoole, Book 1) is a series about owls. There was a movie based on these books: Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole. She has loved reading about the owls and their different stories and trials.

The Mouse and the Motorcycle is by Beverly Cleary is a favorite series at our house. Who does not love that you can make a sound and have a toy motorcycle move. It is fun to follow him on his ride. There are three books total in the series.

A Mouse Called Wolf is a fun story about a mouse named Wolfgang Amadeus Mouse. He love music and listening to Mr Honeybee play the piano! One day he joins in with her and sings. I love the story and it is fun!

Martin’s Mice is an odd one out and likes mices and does not want eat them or let them go. But learns a lesson when he becomes a house pet. It is another fun story about a cat and mice.

Charlotte’s Web is a classic that we love to read over and over. My oldest loves that she can read it on her own now. It is a fun animal story for animal lovers.

Catwings (A Catwings Tale) is a book about 4 kittens that are born with wings and their adventures leaving home. This is a fun series for those that love cats. The books are short but still fun to read. There are 4 books in the series.

I hope this to be the first of many Tween Book finds to come! We are enjoying exploring older books.
