We love this series because it teaches us about so many different themes. Today’s book is full of rain forest animals and we wanted to have fun with some gross motor movements for some of the animals.

I made the cards ahead of time and we read the book and when we got the cards we did the gross motor.

- laminator
- laminating pouches
- 1 inch ring
- foam dice
The Amazon Rain Forest Movement Cards & Rolling Sheet
There are two printables in this set. You can use which works best for you. There is a set of cards and s single page rolling sheet.
The cards have the 6 rain forest animals on them and the 6 movements each animal does. I printed our cards on cardstock and put them on a 1 inch ring
The rolling sheet has all the movements and their matching roll of the die. You can roll the die and do the movements.
How to do the Amazon Rain Forest Movments
There are six fun movements. We picked the favorite animals from the book to put in these movements.
Monkey: You can swing like a monkey. Kids can have fun pretending to swing through trees.
Ant: You can march through the rain forest.
Bird: You can flap your arms and fly like a bird.
Piranha: You chomp your arms like a piranha.
Frog: You can jump like a tree frog.
Jaguar: You can creep through the jungle like a jaguar.
