What is Addition?
Addition is adding one group of items to another group of items. This is adding 2 and 3 to get five. It would looked like 2 + 3 = 5.
Addition math facts are one of the first things that kids learn. It is a skill that you build on from counting.

You have five color options for the flashcards. You have white, red, blue, green, and pink. The colors let you pick what you want to use.
I recommend printing them on cardstock and laminatingto help them last longer.

Ways to use the Addition Flashcards
There are many ways to use the addition flashcards. I like that you can be flexible about how you use them.
Print Addition Flashcards on Colored Cardstock
One of my favorite parts about the white version of the addition flashcards is that I can print them on colored cardstock and put them on a rings.
Build the Addition Equation with Unfix Cubes
You can use two colors of unifix cubes to work on the cards. You can use two of them should be able to do all the card combinations.
You use the two colors to make the numbers on the card. Then you can count the colors to see the answer.
Build the Addition Equation with Mini Eraser
I love that all year you can find fun mini erasers in different places. We love to grab ours at Target.

Addition Flashcards with Addition Mats
You can also use these addition flashcards on several of the addition mats on the site. You can see how you can use the card on the mat. It is another way to use the cards.
Keep in mind there is never just one way to use math flashcards! You can have fun with them.
