A Month to Give Thanks: November 2016 Monthly Goals
When you do something for a whole month, you learn something about yourself. It does not matter if it is right or wrong you do learn something. It is one reason why I set goals every month. I just finished up 31 days of Free Prinables. I learned a lot about other people and me as well.
I found out that by not keeping up with my goal that I would be overwhelmed by other things. By having daily goals that match up or help the overall monthly goal keeps me going. I did complete the 31 days of Free printables but the last week plus were a huge stress for me, but once it was over, I felt much better.
Now I get to look forward to November.
I’m taking all that I learned about doing a daily goal every day and seeing how I can improve myself for it. I have not pushed myself as much as I could. There are always new things I can do. In November my daily goal will be to give thanks EVERY day. A few years ago I made a gratidude journal where I could write down what I was thankful for. It had all 30 or 31 days on one page. I loved it. Plus I could look back and each day and realize that I am thankful for more than I realize.
It also helped me see that not everything was horrible in my life. There were many happy thoughts that were right in front of me.
Now we are headed into November and some new goals with some old goals. I also changed some working on goals because I realized that I was not meeting the goal because of them. It is amazing how one-word change can affect how we do something.
My Goals are always divided up between my blog, family/home and personal. I break down some big goals into smaller goals each month.
Blog Goals
If I can say one thing, it is that one blog goal overtook the whole month. My 31 days which was fun and stressful was the only goal that I got done during the month. I let a lot of other projects get behind, and it did affect more than I thought it would. With all day do keep an eye out for more themed weeks that will happen. Just not a whole month!
- Plan out what my month is going to have, so I can get what I want done.
- Do a 12 days of Christmas Printables during November with Royal Baloo.
- Be ahead on my blog posts at least 3 or 4 days.
- Take Weekends off and work only during the week.
- Take break from blogging and the computer daily and weekly. That means no email checking or blog work of any kind.
- Finish 6 smaller selling products for the month – There will be up on Teachers Pay Teacher as I make them.
- Complete teacher requested projects that will be up on Teachers Pay Teacher.
- Plan and make a Blog Planner to suit my needs
- Create a total project list of all started projects with projected release dates. Schedule steps for pictures and when we will use them.
- Finish up working on Logo & Blog Design and pick a launch date
- Start a Newsletter before the start of 2016
Family Goals
I can say these goals really did not happen. I was at a friends house who said, Cassie, you are so organized. I saw they had my menu and to-do list printable they were using and I’ll admit that during the month I stopped using them and that is when everything overwhelmed me. It is funny how fast it can happen. I have hopes to do much better this month because I will fill it out. Not just try to.

- Spend one weekend Computer Free for EVERYONE!
- Fill out TO DO LIST daily
- Make a weekly menu!

Personal Goals
I let all my personal goals go last month, expect the 10,000 steps. I was not a happy person, and it did show around the house and how I felt each day. I will do what I need to remember that life is good and happy and that not every day is horrible. If I don’t take care of me, I can’t take care of others.

- Schedule my tasks that need to be done for: blog, personal and family.

- Read or listen to 5 fun books during the month – Don’t always get new books, enjoy rereading books as well.
- Last year I started reading these books self help and parenting books. This year I’m going to reread a few and post a review of some of them each month.
