Our Favorite Gingerbread Books

The Gingerbread Boy (Paul Galdone Classics) is a fun telling of the classic story. You can read about the making of the gingerbread boy and him taking off. And then meeting the fox.

Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett is a favorite. I love that this is a small gingerbread baby and the story is all about him and is different form the original. And you can enjoy the pictures and the story.

Richard Scarry’s The Gingerbread Man (Little Golden Book) is another fun telling of the story. And I like that you have different ways to see the same story. As every book shows the story in slightly a different way.

The Gingerbread Man (Easy-To-Read Folktales) is great as a beginner reader for the folktale. Kids will enjoy reading it over and over.
