How we made the Fall Tree Painting with Leaf Cookie Cutters
You can see the steps below that we used to make the fall tree stamp painting.
Step 1: Paint the Trunk of the Tree
we start with painting the trunk of the tree. This can be done simple or as complex as you want to make it. We used a big brunch and painting the trunk.
If you want to skip this step you can use fall dot marker printables and use the tree in the page.
Step 2: Paint Branches on the Tree
We also made a few branches at the top of the tree. You can skip this step if you want. it all depends on the age of the kids doing the painting.
Step 3: Paint On Paper Plate Or Tray
We put the three colors of paint red, yellow and orange on paper plate. We put the paint in the circle about the shape of the cookie cutter.
Then you place the cookie cutter in the paint and spread the paint around to cover the edges of the cookie cutter.
Step 4: Stamping The Leaf Cookie Cutter On The Paper
Next you are going to stamp the leaf cookie cutter on the paper. You want to stamp it above the trunk of the tree to make the top of the tree. Kids can place the cookie cutters any way that they want.
Step 5: Keep Stamping Leaves On The Paper
After you have one stamp of the leaves you can keep adding more stamps on the tree. You can do one color at a time or mix up the colors.
You can see how the leaves overlap and make a fun fall tree for kids. And no tree will love the same.
A few things to remember that if you are going this with younger kids they might slide the cookie cutters and that is okay. This is their tree and there is no wrong way to paint it.
