This is a simple paper roll torch painting that kids of different ages can do. You are learning about the torch, and they get to make their own torch.

And you just need a few simple items to make the torch.

How we made the Paper Roll Painted Torch

You will see the steps below we did to make this paper roll painting torch. And it is fun to make for the Olympics.

Step 1: Put Paint on Paper Plate With Paper Rolls

You want to put the paint on paper plates, or a tray you use for paints. You make a circle or oval with the paints. Then you place the paper rolls in the paint.

Step 2: Paint the the Top Torch

You are going to start with the top of the part of the torch that holds the flame. This should be in the middle of the paper. But kids can make their mind up how big the torch should be.

Step 3: Paint the Handle

You are going to make a triangle and start painting in just a bit for the handle. Kids can be creative as they want. This might be a single line, it can be the triangle we make. They might make a rectangle for it.

Kids can paint a single line of paper roll stamps of they might want to paint it over and over. This is They might want to fill in the center.

Let them decide how much they will paint.

Step 4: Stamp the Flame

The next step we did was make the flame for our torch. We are using paper rolls that is squished so that they have corners.

You can see we started off with one color at a time. You have three colors to stamp for the flame.

You can stamp all of one color or mix up the colors. You can see we did a yellow and now we are starting on the orange flame colors.

Then we added the final color or red. And we did a pattern around the torch but we could do a mix of the colors as well.

Let kids decide how much or how little of the paint that they use. And how big or small the flames will be. We did flames to the top of the paper.

Remember that no torch will look the same. And that is perfect! Let kids have fun painting and enjoy learning about the torch and its part in the Olympics.
