Laminating the Bike Prewriting Strip Printables
You can print the bike prewriting strips on cardstock and laminate them. Laminating them makes it easier to reuse them over and over.
You can see below that we like to laminate and then cut out the prewriting strips. You can do it where you cut first and then laminate. Do what works best for your laminator.
Picking the Right Bike Prewriting Strips To Use
With two prewriting pattern types, you can use both types of just pick the style you need for the child you are working with.
You can just put four of them on a ring and then use that set.
You can see the single repeating pattern below. This is great for kids who are beyond simple lines and working towards more challenge prewriting to work towards letters.
Use the Bike Prewriting Strips in a Fine Motor Learning Center
You can use the bike prewriting printables in a fine motor center. You can pick the tracing strips you want. Or you can pick all of them.
You put the prewriting tracing strips on a 1 inch ring to keep them together and add a dry erase marker for tracing.

You can see below how simple it is to trace the prewriting strips. You can use the black which I know wipes off easiest or the colored dry erase marker.
You can see this is the simple prewriting pattern repeated.

Wiping off the Line with a Q-Tip
A great way to add extra fine motor and clean off the prewriting strips is to use a cotton swab or q-tip to retrace the line and wipe off the dry erase marker.
This works best with the black dry erase marker.
Prewriting Strips in a Binder
Now you love all the prewriting ideas but don’t want to laminate. You don’t need to laminate if you don’t want. A great ideas is to put the printed page in a sheet protector and have them trace the lines over and over. You can have them do one line each day.
And this is also a great way to store the prewriting strips in a binder.
