Things to use with the Basketball Place Value Arrow Card Printable

How To Stack The Arrow Cards
You start with all the cards you are using for the number. It shows all the expanded forms of the numbers. You can see 6,000, 300, 80, and 5 for the place value arrow cards.
You take the hundreds card and place it on the thousands cards. You line up the basketball on each of the cards. The Earth is on the right side. So the cards line one that that right side.
So you see the number 6,300 has been built.
You repeat the same process again with the 80 and 5 to make the number 6,385. Always starting with the biggest number. So the 80 would go on the 300 and then the 5 on top of the 8. You can build all sort of numbers this way.

Matching Numbers to the Task Cards
You can start by matching the numbers and the arrow cards. You can start with just placing the numbers next the to the card. This is a great way to work on expanded form and standard form.
You can see the number 63 and then you have the 60 and 3 for the expanded from with the arrow cards.
Build the Numbers on the Task Cards
A fun part of about the number task card is that there is only one of each number in the place value. So you can use all the arrow cards with the task cards.
You can see two numbers below with a thought ands version. Each of the three task card set only has one number in each place value to make this a fun learning center with all the cards.
Store the Cards on a Ring
You can see that we have put the place value task cards on a ring. This allows you to flip through the cards and build the numbers.
And it keeps the cards together for later when you are storing them.
Use the Place Value Dice with the Place Value Arrow Cards
Another fun idea to use the place value arrow cards is to add place value dice. You can roll the dice and pull the number out to make a number.
You can see the dice above each of the numbers. A great way to work on place value without the task cards.
