How we made the Ocean Fish Wreath
You will see the steps below for how to make the ocean wreath with glitter fish.
Dot Marker the Paper Plate
To start you are going to paint the paper plate with dot markers. We use two different colors to make the blue ocean color for the wreath.
If you don’t have dot markers then watercolors is also a great way to color the wreath.
When you are done put the paper plate aside to dry.
Punch out the Ocean Fish
Next you are going to punch out the fish from the glitter cardstock.
You can have kids punch out the fish. When you have kids punch out the fish it is a great deep pressure activity for kids. You can use all the colors you want for the fish.
You can always punch the fish out in advance if you are doing this with a big group.
You can see the punches we used and the size of the fish that each of the punches makes. You can always a good idea show kids an example of the size of the fish.
Punch of the Silver Circles
Net you punch out circles out of the sliver paper. You are making bubbles in the water around the wreath.
We use a whole punch and a 5/8 inch punch for the circles. And that whole punch is my favorite!
Glue on the Fish and Bubbles
After you have the fish and bubbles punched out. You can place the fish around the wreath to see where you want then.
And then glue the fish in place. It is fun to see how they place the fish around the wreath.
After the fish are in place, we then add the bubbles. You can do single bubbles or make fun patterns with the bubbles around the wrath.
