You have different types of fractions on these puzzles and they are great for kids to use for learning more about the different sizes and amount for the numbers.

What are fractions?
It is a numerical quantity that is not a whole number. It is also a number divided into equal parts.
Examples of fractions are 1/2 or half of a whole number.
You can see fractions like 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10. There are many different fractions that kids can work on.
Tree Fraction Puzzle Printables
The tree fraction puzzle are a great way to work on building fractions.
Each of the tree fraction puzzles is vertical. The puzzles have the fractions on the right side and the picture they make on the left. I laminate each of the puzzles. This makes the puzzles last longer.
You will find fractions for the following numbers: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10.

Ways to Use the Tree Fraction Puzzle Printables
Prepare the Fraction Puzzles
You can use these tree fraction puzzles one time or many times. If you are going to use them a few times I recommend printing on cardstock and laminating. This will help them last longer.
Cut Up the Tree Fraction Puzzles
You can cut up the fraction puzzles. Cutting up the puzzles allows you to work on addition fractions together to make a bigger fraction number to a whole.
It is also fun to give them a mixed up puzzle and have them build the tree and see the fractions.
Build the Tree Fraction Puzzles
You can build the fraction trees. Each tree has a different set of fractions on them.
You can see the 3 fraction puzzle below. You can talk about 1/3, 2/3, and 3/3 on the fraction puzzle. You can see how each of the pieces are the same size.
You can also say the fraction names on the side of the puzzle.
If you are just learning fractions, you can print the puzzle twice and use one puzzle to be a help to build the puzzle.
Find Fractions That Are the Same
Since you have a mix of fraction puzzles you can do a little comparing of fractions. You can see below we have two puzzles and they have different fractions but equal the same amount. This is a great way to see and compare numbers.
You can talk about how 2/6 is equal to 1/3. You could also which fraction would be the same. And building and comparing the puzzles lets you do that.
Find Fractions That Are the Different
You can also look and see how fractions are different and which is bigger and which is smaller.
You can compare 1/4 and 1/5 or some bigger numbers to smaller numbers. You can do 1/2 and 1/10. it is a great way to see the difference in each of the puzzles.
You can have fun using the puzzles and kids will love it.
