February 2013 Book Finds

February Book Finds

Here are the February books I found and really liked. Some are new and some are older books. It is always fun to see new books! Which ones do you like the best?

Red Car, Red Bus by Susan Steggall is a great book about cars and colors. You can learn cars and trucks along with colors. Each page adds more cars and colors. You could do a lot with this book for learning. Match up cars to the colors on the page. It is lots of fun learning in a simple book like this.

Another Great find this month was BOB Books Scholastic Reader Level 1! These are great addition to the BOB Books collection. I had not seen them before. We have loved reading them. If you like BOB Books these are something to get. They build on the same principals that you find in the other BOB Books. (I can see more printables for these too at some time!)

The Three Ninja Pigs by Corey Rosen Schwartz is a retelling of the three little pigs! My girls love changes on original stories. This is no different. It is a fun story that teaches just what the original story taught in a new way.

Alphasaurs and Other Prehistoric Types by Sharon Werner and Sarah Forss is a well put together book of ABC of dinosaurs. Each of the Dinosaurs is made up the letters they start with. So Allosaurus is made of all “A & a”. It is a fun reading. It also gives some basic information about each dinosaur. The information is also about the letter. It is great fun to see how they made the ABCs fun and interesting. I always love new ABCs books. Expect to see more of the ABC book soon.

I hope that you enjoy these books!

  1. Thanks! I always love to hear about new books I may have missed. We like “Red Car, Red Bus” because my littlest ones can “read” it themselves using the pictures.
