Q-tip Heart Tracing – Snowy Valentine
We read Snowy Valentine by David Petersen. I love this book because it points out that we don’t have to give complex gifts to someone we love. You can do simple gifts. After the book was read we did q-tip heart tracing.
What you need: Heart Tracing from the Valentines Pack part 3, q-tips and paints: pink, red and purple.
The girls went about tracing their hearts.
The final product.

What a fantastic fine motor skills activity! I’m going to break this one out the next time I have the younger daycare kids.
It is so easy and the girls really enjoyed it!
This is such a great way to work on fine motor skills.
Fine motor is our goal for the month so we are trying to explore it in many different ways.
So much fun!!
We really enjoyed it!
Such a great idea for fine motor! We’ll be using it for letter H!
I would never have thought of this. How fun. Thanks for sharing
It really is so easy to do. My girls love painting with q-tips.
I love using Q-tips. Children really have to concentrate when creating their patterns/tracing etc and it’s almost impossible to hold in a palmer grip :). I love your girls pictures 🙂
We have a lot of fun with q-tip painting.
These are great! I see you commented on my blog and beat me to this e-mail. 🙂 But I’ll send it anyway to let you know where I blogged about it:
