January 2013 Book Finds

Each month I pick out books we found at the library or the books store that we all loved and let you know what they were. It is a fun process and has my girls always looking for new and different books when we go to the library. This month was exploring the new books we got over the Holidays.

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore by William Joyce and Joe Bluhm is a great story about flying books and reading books. I love to read it to the girls. It is a story of upsets and reading the story.

The Runaway Wok: A Chinese New Year Tale by Ying Chang Compestine is a great tale of a boy off to buy rice but buys a wok instead. This is fun story that is a Chinese new Year story.

It’s Time for Preschool! by Esme Raji Codell and Sue Rama is a great book about Preschool. It has many of the words they use like: Circle Time, Clean Up, Sharing Time, Manners and more. This is a good book if you want to introduce someone to preschool before they go.

Flight of the Last Dragon by Robert Burleigh is about the last dragon and what becomes of him. He flies around until he finds his new place in the night sky.
