How We Made the Torn Paper Snowflakes
You are going to see the steps that we took to make the torn paper snowflake craft. We started with the snowflake already drawn on the paper. But older kids could draw their own snowflake on the paper.
Step 1: Tear Up the White Paper
You can do this in different ways you can give them paper torn up already or have them tear the paper. You can see which works best for the age group of kids that you have.
You can see that we tore up the paper as we did the craft.
Step 2: Trace the Snowflake with Glue
You get your glue stick and then trace the lines of the snowflake. You want to do this in small sections of the snowflake.
Only small lines because if you do too much the glue will dry before you get paper on it.
Step 3: Place the White Paper on the Snowflake
Then you finally place the paper on the snowflake. You can use big pieces or small pieces. This is up to the person doing the art project how it should look. Let them decide how the snowflake will look in the end.
Step 4: And Repeat the Process Over and Over
You then repeat the process for each of the lines on the snowflake. You can tear more paper as you go or make smaller prices to fit the snowflake.
But this is a great art project that works on fine motor skills and is a great process art craft that kids can do.
