What are Playdough Mats?
Playdough mats are a great way for kids to build fine motor skills while teaching skills like ABCs, numbers, and shapes.
These new number playdough mats work on playdough numbers and writing the number for kids.
You have two number playdough mats and each mat has numbers from 0 to 20 for kids to work use. Each mat has the number in the middle and an area to trace or write the number.
You can see the first number playdough mat has the number in the middle with tracing of the number below.
The second number playdough mat has the number in the middle with trace of one number and an area to write the number.

Ways to use the Number Playdough Mats
You are going to see a few ways to use these number playdough mats. You will see centers, how to set up the area and different ways to use the playdough numbers.
Setting up the Number Playdough Mat Center
You can see the playdough mat below with a dry erase marker and playdough. You can laminate the pages but if you don’t want to you can put them in a sheet protector.
You can see we have the tracing option that we are using. It is recommended that if you are going to use these a lot that you print them on cardstock
Make the Playdough Number
You can use playdough snakes to make the numbers. You can see how easy the playdough makes the number.
You could also use small erasers to fill in the numbers.
Trace the Number
You can trace the numbers below the playdough number. This is optional but you can give them unfix cubes and have them count up to the number.
Store the Number Playdough Mats
You can store the number playdough mats in a binder
This also makes an easy way to set up a learning center. You can pull all numbers you want them to do and they can flip through the book and do them.
Dot the Number Playdough Mat
These number mats also work great for the dot marker to trace the playdough number. Then they can count up to the number with the dot marker. And finally, they can trace the numbers at the bottom. Or just do the dot marker part.
Print the Number Playdough Mats on Colored Paper
Because these have no color on them they work great printed on colored paper. You can print them on the color of paper that works best for the season or holiday.
