What is a Clip Card?
A clip card is a printable that has an item for the focus and a matching item to clip.
For these ABC clip cards, the big item is the uppercase letter with the monster and the small item is the lowercase letter to clip.
You can see some examples of the monster ABC clip cards below. These work best with printed on cardstock

- laminator
- laminating pouches
- clothespins
- paper clips
- clear counters or light blue glass gems
Ways to Use the Monster ABC Clip Cards Printable
You can use these with several different items to clip them. You can see some of them below.

Cover the letter with Glass Gem
If you still want to do fine motor work with the cards use glass gems
If you don’t have any of those items remember that any item can be used dot cover the matching letter.
You could also use paper clips, mini erasers, clear counters, and unifix cube!
Using the ABC Clip Cards without Clipping
If you don’t want to use clothespins or small items you can always have them point to the matching letter. You can start with them tracing the uppercase letter with their finger and then pointing to the matching lowercase letter.
That is an easy way to use the card without other items.
