Christmas Sensory Bin
We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission.
This is a great addition to the Christmas activities on the site.
We have been exploring both Christmas words and reading Christmas books. We went through some of the symbols of Christmas. It was a lot of fun. Below are the books we have been reading before using the sensory bin. This bin will be around daily for the girls to play with.
What you need: Christmas colored buttons green & red, Christmas shape buttons, small bells, poinsettias, Christmas ornaments, yarn green & red, present bows, and small Christmas trees.
How we made the Christmas Sensory
We talked about the items in the bin and they each pulled the items out as we talked about them.
We explored the different colors in the bin.
We made patterns out of buttons and then buttons and bows.
We decorated the cloth Christmas tree.
We rang jingle bells. It was fun to hear the sounds the bells made.
The girls really enjoy digging through and playing with everything.

I love it! I love that you got the items out and did different things with them, too. Your daughters are beautiful!
Ahh thanks! They love to make things be different and not just straight forward.
That looks like so much fun, Cassie! I love the way you incorporate so many different activities into your sensory bins. I featured your post and photo in my 40+ Christmas Sensory Tubs post at http://livingmontessorinow.com/2012/12/17/montessori-monday-40-plus-christmas-sensory-tubs/
Thanks! The girls and I love doing them! it is always fun to do something different.
