What you need to make your Iceberg Watercolor Painting
How we made the Iceberg Watercolor Painting
You are going to see the steps below that we used to make the iceberg painting.
Draw a line for the Ocean and Sky
You can start by drawing a light line with a pencil to make the difference between where the ocean and the sky is. This also helps give you a level for where to draw the iceberg.
Color the Iceberg with Oil Pastels
You use white oil pastel and color your iceberg. You want to make sure to keep it above the ocean level and fill in the whole iceberg. You can put a few floating pieces of ice in the ocean as well.
Paint the Watercolor Paper with Water
You can paint the watercolor paper with water. This helps spread the watercolors easier when you are painting.
Paint the Sky with Light Blue Colors
You can use light blue colors from the watercolor palet to paint the sky. You can just one color or mix in other blue colors.
It is fun to watch the iceberg pop up from in the sky.
Paint the Ocean with Dark Blue Colors
Finally, you paint the ocean with darker blue watercolors. You can mix the watercolors or just do one set of blue colors.
You can see how the smaller ice in the watch shows up.
