Ice Cream Cone ABC Matching

There are loads of great summer themes and one that is fun to work with is ice cream cones!

They have so many fun ways you can work with them.

Today I have a fun free ABC Matching activity with ice cream cones! You can have fun matching letters and sounds.

This printable has so many different ways that you can use with different levels of learning from early prek to kindergarten.

There are so many ways to work on ABCs. And I love changing up how you work on them. I made sure that this set of printables could be used in a few different ways.

I wanted to make sure that people could work on the letter case that they are working on. So the cones have three options of uppercase and lowercase letters, uppercase case letter only, and lowercase letter only. I recommend printing these on cardstock and laminating them. This will help them hold up longer.

There are four scoops for each letter. This allows you to mix up how you use these cards. You have uppercase letter, lowercase letter, and two pictures with beginning sounds.

Ways to use the Ice Cream Cone Alphabet Matching Cards

Now you can use all the scoops with any of the cones. This is a great review for matching in various ways. This allows you to pick the cones you want or need.

You can also just match the letters. You can match the case you are working on. So matching the same letter. You can see below how you can match the same letter case. So you have can do uppercase only or lowercase only.

You can also match uppercase and lowercase letters. This allows you to see if kids know the different types of letter cases.

You can use the cone that works best for you and then match the pictures tot he cones. This is a great way to work on letter sounds.

Now if you want to have more of a center and keep the parts together. Then put them on a ring! I love having ring activities that we can work on. You can see how I put the cards on rings. They can flip through the cards and match the cones and scoops in any combinations you want.
