Valentines Dot the Number Count the Number
Numbers and counting are something we use all the time in preschool and kindergarten. You learn to count the numbers and the number shapes.
Dot markers have always been a favorite for me. I love using them. I also love it when I can put favorite things together.
The Valentines Dot the Number and Counting the Number are a fun way to work on numbers and counting.
We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission.
I love that this is another fun printable you can use for Valentine’s Day!
These printables have numbers from 0 to 20 and work on dotting the number and counting dots on the image. They can be used as a worksheet or a hands-on mat. They come in color and black & white.
You can see the black and white worksheet style from the set. It has the name spot and shows you how the number is formed.
The color version of this printable makes a great hands-on fine motor mat. I love having flexible pages that I can use in many different ways.

Ways to use the Hands-On Mats and the No-Prep Worksheets
The most basic way to use the black and white version of the printable is with dot marker. You can have fun dotting the numbers and counting the matching dots on the heart.
The color printables can be uses with a mix of hands-on items. I love using the seasonal erasers we find on some of these mats. You can find several heart erasers during Valentine’s. We use those for the heart and pink glass gems for the number. You can also use clear counters on the circles.
These work great for fine motor activities. I love using pom poms on these mats. You can use your fingers or if you have tweezers you can use those to place the pink pom poms.
If you are just using them one time you can always use the dot marker on the color mat. It is fun to mix up the activities you do with the printables.
Don’t feel that you have to use a printable just one way!
Now, if you want to do the activity but not the hearts for Valentine’s Day. Try the Candy Jar! A great one you can use at any time.
