I love easy reader books. They are a great way to change up reading. I know we love the apple skip counting book and I thought hey one of the common skip counting numbers we work on at the start is by fives.
So Today we have a Scarecrow themed Skip Counting by 5 easy reader book. It is one easy way to flip through the pages and count by fives.
This is also a part of scarecrow week!
Scarecrows have been a fall theme that I have not done a ton with, but I’m so excited to get more into it.
These skip counting books are simple and easy. They have a number on the right side they can color, matching crows on a scarecrow in groups of five and a repeat addition at the bottom of the page.

How to use the Scarecrow Skip Counting by 5s Easy Reader Book
One each of the pages you can count the crows on the scarecrow and see the groups of 5. So you can see that two groups of 5 are 10. And that 5 + 5 = 10.
Another fun way to use this book is on each page writing the numbers as they add up to the number on the page. This gives you a good visual of how the repeat addition works. If they need help with the numbers you can use the skip counting bookmarks to help them do the repeat addition or write it on the book for them.
The last page of the book has all the skip counting numbers together that you can point to and read. This is a great review at the end of the book.
