Fun To Read Book Finds August 2019
Every month we look for pictures books. I even have my older girls look for them. It is always interesting to see what they pick out vs what I would pick out.
You never know what picture book will appeal to kids of different ages until you look.
I believe that pictures books can be read and enjoyed at every age. They can always teach you something or just be something you enjoy.
We always have a mix of library books and books we have got in a store. I love taking my girls to a book store and letting them look around.

Sea Bear: A Journey for Survival is full of loads of information about the life of a polar bear. You go through the journey in the ocean and on to land. I love that the back of the book has more details about the bears and other animals you see in the book.
Bear Came Along is a very funny book about a river that did not know it was a river until bear came along and other friends joined along the way. It is fun to see the faces on all the animals from the forest that live by the river. This book was a very funny read.
Harold Loves His Woolly Hat is a fun story about a bear who just loves his hats and thinks that his hats makes him special. But someone else likes the hat a crow. Who takes it to his nest. Harold tries to give the crow other things so he can have his hat back. I love the ending and that Harold learns he is still speical without his hat.
The Night Library is a story about a boy who does not like books any more. He goes to sleep and a lion shows up and takes him to the library and shows him his love of reading again.
The Art Lesson is not a new book but still a good book find. I love the story of the boy who grows up to be an artist and seeing his journey. I love that this book is about Tomie dePaola!
The Sad Little Fact is about a fact that is sad and people say it is not a fact and lock it up with other facts. I love the radom facts in the book plus the way the story plays out. It brings to light why we have facts and need them.
Sea Glass Summer is a story about a boy named Thomas who spends the summer with his grandparents by the beach. They go looking at the beach and find sea glass. At night he dreams about where the sea glass could have come from. I love the story about the glass and him dreaming about where it came from.
