St Patrick’s Day ABC Pot of Gold Matching With Tracing
I love reading the fun stories about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I thought I would add a fun pot of gold matching activity with ABCs.
Kids can have a blast working on their ABCs with this fun theme for St. Patrick’s Day!

This is a fun new addition to the St. Patrick’s Day printables on the site. It is a great hands-on learning activity for kids.
The set has all 26 letters in uppercase on the pot of gold and the lowercase letters on the gold coins. This allows you to work on each letter as you go. I recommend printing on cardstock
There two types of recording sheets. You have a tracing set and a cover set. This will allow kids of different skill sets to use the pages.
Ways to Use the St Patrick’s Day ABC Pot of Gold Matching Printables
You can do a simple matching game. You can pick a few of the cards and have them match uppercase and lowercase. It is simple and easy and you don’t have to do anything else. You can have the cards turned over or face up depending on the child.
You can have kids go through a pile of letters and trace or cover the matching letter. So if they pull up the uppercase “B” they trace the uppercase B. Then flip over the next card until they go through all 52 cards. If they are not doing tracing you could always cover the letter with glass beads.
Another fun activity is to give them a set of cards and have them put the cards in order. If they need help this I recommend grabbing the kindergarten help desk chart.
I like to put the cards on a ring and have them flip through the cards and match them then record on the sheet. If you want to reuse the cards and sheet I recommend laminating them.
