Winter is a fun time and so many great themes. I love that you can follow animal tracks in the snow! We love to do that.

I put animals tracks and some skip counting to add some fun to our learning. These free winter woodland skip counting tracks are a fun way to work skip counting that kids might be having problems with.

This skip printable is made to work on skip counting by making is a fun activity to do. They have skip counting from 1 to 12 for each number. I love having something for my girls that love animals and it changes up our normal practice of skip counting.

Each of the pages has the number you are working on plus skip counting paw prints that go up the page. They have skip counting 12 times on each page. I recommend printing on cardstock and laminating this printable to help it last longer.

Ways to use the Skip Counting Mats

One of the most simple ways is to skip count and cover the numbers as you go up. We use glass gems a lot for this type of activity.

Another way to do this is to use multiplication flashcards and cover the answer of the card. You can also use the division flashcards and use the skip counting by one page.

One of our favorite ways to do these is to finger walk up the paw prints and saw the numbers as you touch each number. It is a fun way to bring finger skills and work on your numbers.

You can also use the animals from winter to do this. We pulled out the animals from the Safari Ltd. Nature TOOB and use them to walk paw prints. We also used one of the Safari LTD foxes that we have.
