Hands-On Dinosaur Bones Sorting: Even and Odd
As you progress and learn you are always working on different types of activities. One of those math skills you learn is about even and odd numbers.
My youngest is just starting to learn this at school. It is not always easy to learn new ideas. I love it when I can make something fun for them to learn with.
This is a part of the 5 Days of Dinosaur Printables.
I made these printables to be used one of two days. You can use it with the sorting mat or with the worksheet. I know that some kids work better with hands-on and some do great with a worksheet.
There are 16 bones in the set for kids to use: 8 even and 8 odd.
There is a really fun sorting mat. The Paleontologist is sorting bones. But only even or odd bones to the right box. These mats a fun and sure to let the dinosaur love have some fun.
Kids can sort the bones on the mat and make is loads of fun to say even and odd. This makes it hands-on for those kids that learn best with this style of activity.
There is also a matching worksheet. So you can turn this into a math center activity that kids can do. They can pull the bones and write the number in the collect column.
What you will find in this printable:
- Even & Odd Sorting mat
- 2 types of bones to sort
- 1 recording page
