What is a Vowel Team Words?
Vowel teams are two vowels that work to make one sound. This is also called a vowel digraph.
Some vowel team words are rain, mail, toe, fruit, and seed.
The common vowel teams are: ai, ay, ea, ee, ei, oa, oe, ue, and ui.
The sound that vowel team words make is a long vowel sound. You will often teach the sounds that are similar vowels at the same time.

You have two types of vowel team wall cards. You have a vowel team card with a picture, letter, and matching words and a vowel team wall card with a list of vowel team words.
These come in two different sizes to help you pick which works best for your needs. You can have one to hang on the wall and one for kids to flip through.

The Different Vowel Team Wall Card Printables
I have two different types of vowel team wall cards and two different sizes. I know that there are always different needs in classrooms and homes.
Simple Vowel Team Wall Card Printable
The first vowel team wall card type focuses on the sound that the vowel teams make. They have a big picture for the vowel team that matches the two vowel sound on the card. And there the word written for the picture.

The vowel team wall card printables come with two wall cards per page to make them easy to display for kids. We put ours on a tri-fold display board. The tri fold boards are easy to move around and store.
