Fun to Read Book Finds From July 2017
Every month we look for picture books no matter what! Yes, I have older girls and yes they still read picture books. Picture books are great for kids of many different ages. You don’t have to limit yourself just to preschool and kindergarten. You can read picture books for years to come.
Each of these books was a favorite from us over the month. We always try and find fun new books to read. We are always finding different and fun books.
Below are links to Amazon for each of the books where you can sometimes find previews of the book. Plus any purchases go to help make the site stay up.
The Kraken’s Rules for Making Friends is a great book about making friends and the ocean. We have loved reading this book and learning about making friends. And finding the friend right in front of you. Plus it includes knitting!
No Fair! No Fair! And Other Jolly Poems of Childhood is great peom book to read about things from childhood. It cover school, stuff animals, riding in the back seat of the car and more! We had a good laugh reading many of these poems.
Walk with Me is about a girl who must walk around a city by herself. This is about how she find the courage to do what she must do by conjuring a lion with her imagination. T I love this story and how it was put together. his book was originally put out in spanish: Camino a casa (Especiales de a la Orilla del Viento) (Spanish Edition).
Puddles!!! is book with few words but is fun to read. A monster is walking with some bunnies and soon in rains. Then we have puddles but the bunnies don’t like the puddles but the monster does! I love the words for each page and the emotions on the monster and bunnies.
Mine! is a book about two mine and one rock. And there is only one word in the book: “mine”. I love reading books like this because you get to say the word so many different ways!
The Blue Hour is a wonderful book done in all sorts of blue colors. Just how many colors fo blue are there? I love the pictures and the that it is a mostly blue book with a few minor accents of other colors.
NOPE is tale about first flight and how scary it must be. The book has very few words and loads of wordless pages. I love seeing the emtion on the young bird face and following along with the story.
