Fun Follow Up Museum Art: Process Art Circle Painting
We are always doing fun art projects. I love to see how creative my girls can be. One art activity we love to do it matching up art projects with something we saw on a museum trip.
My girls have total control over what we might do. They pick out the craft and activity. Each time we have a different style of artwork.
These projects become fun process art painting or crafts that let me girls explore what they saw in their own way. Plus these are activities they tell me what we are doing! And I get to paint with them.
The Circle Painting is a great addition to the shape crafts and the cookie cutter crafts on the site.
On one of our last trips, we saw paintings that had tons of black circles in many different ways. My girls just loved the black and white designs that were so different from what they had seen before.
They each took the time to draw in their notebooks about the things they liked the most about the black and white pictures.

After we got home each wanted to do some circle drawing and see what they could make. It was fun to see them gather the materials that we would use.
This works great for a circle craft for kids kids learning shapes as well.
You can also do this painting with circles as well.

Trace in the Inside of Cookie Cutters
We started tracing the different circles on the paper. This was fun to see how they all looked on the page. We all made our pages unique and different and decided how they would look. Some were single and some overlapped. It was fun to see how different everyone’s ideas were.
Paint the Circles with Watercolors
Next, we had loads of fun filling in the circles. With the watercolors
What I like best about these types of painting projects is that everyone can do what they want how they want and still have a great time doing it!
