CVC Find & Color Thanksgiving Fun
After having so much fun with the coloring pages for the Thanksgiving ABCs. We wanted to do more activities like it. I thought it would be fun to do some CVC Word Family Activities. There are never enough activities for kids to do learning or reviewing word families.
No prep activities have been loads of fun to make and have around. I will admit that all my girls wanted to do these CVC Find and Color pages! I ended up printing extras for all three to do. It was loads of fun. Plus we worked on some of the basic CVC words.
One thing that doing this 31 days of printables has taught me is that I love to try new things. This allows me to pick a theme and see what happens. I love the idea of the search and find. Now putting it with CVC and coloring is always fun. We really do love coloring pages at our house.
Each of the pages has a CVC Word Family ending on them. On the printable is a collection of pictures that match up to the CVC words plus several other CVC words. They can color and find the 5 to 6 different images that match up with the word family.
As they have colored the correct CVC pictures they can write in the CVC words in the boxes below. This allows them to build the words that match the pictures. The boxes match up to how the words should be build. So that the word boxes will match cat and one that matches hat. This allows them to work on writing the words correctly.
The pages are tons of fun to do. If you want to reuse the pages you can put them in sheet protectors
