Ocean Themed Wreaths
My youngest and I have been doing crafts together all school year. It has been tons of fun to do the projects. We learned a lot about playing together without her sisters. Our last project we did was this Ocean themed Wreaths.
We have been doing TONS of ocean activities this last month. They have been so much fun to do. We love to do themed activities when we can. It makes it fun to work and learn with themes. Plus my girls enjoy it as well.
We have been reading Commotion in the Ocean. It is a favorite book at our house. I love all the fun ocean poems. There are so many fun ones to read in the book. While reading the book, my youngest asked about making a fun ocean wreath. That is what we decided to do!
What you need for this activity: dot markers, paper plate, and ocean stickers.
The first thing we did was use the blue dot markers and teal dot marker to dot around the outside edge of the plate. The two colors made for a nice ocean color effect.
Next, we cut out the center of the paper plate. I let my youngest decide how she was going to do it. She had fun being creative with your cutting.
The last step was just putting the stickers on the wreaths. I put mine in a pattern and she decorated hers how she wanted. It was fun to see how creative she could be.
After we were all done she wore hers as a hat and loved it!
Here is a look at both of our ocean wreaths.
