How to Make A Dinosaur Shirts Using Stencils
After looking for girl dinosaur shirts and not finding any. My oldest asked if we could make some and that is just what we did. Kids love to get creative and make their own things!
Plus there are not tons of girlie dinosaur shirts out there!
What you need for this Activity
- t-shirt
- fine point fabric markers
- Melissa & Doug Textured Stencils – Dinosaurs, 4-Pack of Stencil-and-Rubbing Plates
- masking tape
- paper (or something else to put between shirt)
- clipboard
How to make the Dinosaur Stencil Shirts
Put the paper in the middle of the shirt.
Tape the shirt on the back and making sure you pull tight.
Put the clip board on and tape the stencil to the clip board.
Make sure the area you are working in is protected. These are permit markers. Then have the child press on the stencil as they trace the picture.
After they finished, I looked over and double-checked to make sure the lines were filled in and then we looked at the finished product.

Cassie, Just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for your blog. I am a stay at home mom to 2 girls (1 and 3) and I know it takes a lot of time to keep up with a Blog but I’m so glad you do! I am so encouraged by the ideas you share. I was homeschooled but have been overwhelmed about the idea of teaching my own kids. I taught JR high history for 4 years before having children so I have the heart of a teacher but just didn’t know where to start! I looked at sooooo many mom blogs and was still overwhelmed until I found your blog and all your amazing materials. Thank you for taking the time to post them, create them and share them with other moms! It has been such a huge blessing! I started tot school with my 3 year old this week and we are enjoying it so much thanks to all your great resources! Keep up the great work! You are amazing!
