Sight words are always something kids are working on when they are learning to read. I’m always looking for new ways to review or learn sight words.
We took the ABC Letter Find Printable and put this small twist on it. We made a sight word find!
I love how you can trace the sight word and then find the sight word below. It is a great way to work on spelling the sight word and recognizing it with other words mixed in.

What is a Pre Primer Sight Word?
Pre primer sight words are words from the Dolch Preprimer Sight word list.

Preprimer Sight Word Trace & Find the Sight Word Printable
These sight words are words that are found common in reading. They might not be easy to decode or don’t follow simple sounding out patterns.
There are two lines of sight words to trace. This gives them lots of practice writing the sight word. The circles are great for dot markers. All of the other words in the circles are from the Dolch Preprimer as well.
These are a great way to work on pre primer sight words for kids in kindergarten.

How to use the Preprimer Sight Word Trace & Find the Sight Word
Trace the Sight Words
You start with tracing the sight word at the top of the page. You can see there are several words for them to trace.
Find the Sight Words
Then you find the preprimer sight word below. You can use crayons to color the circles or you can use dot markers to do the circles. We like to use dot markers.

Use Markers and Dot Markers on the Sight Word Worksheet
You can use matching markers and dot marker on the preprimer sight word worksheet. Kids have fun with this. You can see how fun it makes the worksheet.
A fun activity to do after you dot all the circles is to read the other sight words on the page!
Reuse the Preprimer Sight Word Worksheet
A lot of times we want to save on paper and use these in a center many times. And sheet protectors or laminating the worksheet help with this. Then you can use a dry erase marker on the words and then cover the sight words with clear counters or other small items.
