Chapter Books We Are Reading
This summer we are doing some different reading. I’m doing some reading of chapter books for the girls. Plus exploring new chapter books for my daughter who just finished second grade. We all looking at the books and tried to pick out a few different ones to read. There are so many new and different chapter books to pick from!
We have read a lot of the Magic Tree House and Junie B. Jones books. The girls love them but don’t always want to sit down for reading them. But we are making time to do this. This summer we are exploring new books and series.
My Little Pony
My girls are very excited about My little Pony right now. We picked these books because they are interested in it. We read the books and having fun doing it. You never know what books will excite your child. These stories follow one of the ponies from the series. You know the setting and characters which is fun.

National Geographic Kids Chapters
We love the National Geographic magazines and getting the chapter books was a plus. They have a lot of animal stories and you can have fun and learn about each of the stories. We have read some but we will be reading more this summer.

These are totally new books to us. The girls saw them in the book store and loved how they looked. I like the fun and different styled letters in the book. It makes fun for reading! I can’t wait to get more into them.

The Kingdom of Wrenly
This is another totally new series for us. I really like the look of the books, PLUS on thing I like is that there is BIG text on the pages. This is nice for those just starting to read chapter books. It has a fantasy and medieval setting for the series. We have the first two books and I think we will be exploring more of them.

We actually have a few of these now, and we are trying to convince my oldest she can read them! I’m pretty sure my husband is going to be reading The Kingdom of Wrenly too….
