Fun Activities with Seasonal Erasers
I love getting the seasonal erasers from target. Here are some of the fun hands on activities that we use with them.
I posted on facebook about making sure you check out the fun Halloween erasers in the target dollar section or I guess it is called One Spot now I think. Someone asked what I did with them, so here is a post about some of the ways I use those erasers. I’m going to show you two different ways that we use them.
What you need: 3 sets of erasers (I got mine from the Target Dollar Section)
Hands on Shape Matching
For the first activity I traced the erasers shapes on a paper.
She took the erasers and matching them up on the page. This was tons of fun for her to do. We talked about the shapes
Making Patterns
The next activity is doing hands on pattern making. I give her several basic patterns to start with. This is something easy you can do.
I let her choose which pattern she will start with. She slowly takes her time to fill out the patterns. After she finishes a set we review the pattern that she has finished.
These small eraser make for great hands on fine motor! With so many different hands on activities they can be used many different ways. I collect them and save them for many uses. Just remember they are small and should be used with children that wont put them in their mouth.
Here are some other ideas you can do:
- Daily Estimate Jar
- Use with the Hands on Math Pages in the Printable Packs
- Use them similar to this Math & Counting Activity
- Sorting
- Put in the bag they can’t see and have them pull out the shape you ask them for.
- Stack them up one on top of the other and see how high you can go.
- Sort and then make a Tally Marker page for them to keep track of them
- Put them in Sensory Bins

Brilliant ideas! We don’t have that section in Australia, but I’m sure I can find some themed erasers for activities like these! 🙂
That is a great fine motor skill developing activity. I want a Target store in the UK!!
Oh what a brilliant idea!!!! I usually just throw the themed erasers into their sensory bin.
Such fun and simple ideas that really promote learning! I’ll definitely have to get some of those erasers next time I’m at Target.
I honestly would not have thought of using erasers in these ways at all. Very creative and lots of fun.
