Virtual Book Club for Kids 2015-2016 Books
I’m very excited once again to be a part of the Virtual Book Club for Kids for 2015-2016. My girls have really enjoyed being a part of the book club. There is a great line-up of books for this year.
I know that they pick the books out with great care. I’ve never had a book they picked we did not really like or enjoy if it was new.
This year is different than before. There will only be one book for each month. This allows for so many different ideas to be presented for the books. Everyone is looking forward to seeing the different activities that are put together.
Check out all the books below:
September’s book is Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. We have always enjoyed this book. Who does not want to run wild with the monsters in the forest!
My post were:
October’s book is Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney. We love her series. She always comes up with great rhymes for all the words. It is a fun way to learn about others. I do like that this months book is a book about bedtime. There are so many things that happen at bedtime.
My post was:
November’s book is Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans. This is a book that I love. It was read to be my a candy stripper for the first time right after I had my appendix out. I was 16 and I still remember the book. I love reading it to my girls to point out that life is an adventure.

December is a month that we take a break. So no book this month.
January’s book is The Little Engine That Could: 60th Anniversary Edition by Watty Piper. This is always a classic. I think almost everyone has read it at least once. I know when things are hard I like to remember the moral of this book.
My post was:
February’s book is The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss. This is a classic book. Most parents and teachers love this book. I know that it was one of the first books we bought when we started collecting books. I love the rhymes and fun words you get to read.
My post was:
March’s books is The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. This was a story my dad used to read to be. We read this as a bedtime book for several months for my oldest. She just loved the story. Now she enjoys reading them by herself.

April’s book is Corduroy by Don Freeman. I had not really read this book until my oldest brought it home from the school library. I really enjoy reading it now. This is going to be a great book to do activities with.

July’s book is Pinkalicious by Victoria Kann. I know this will shock a few people but I have never read Pinkalicious! Yes, I have three girls and we have not read it. I can see that we will be reading it this year.
