Star Wars Math: Comparing Stormtrooper Fractions

We have been on a huge Star War kick at our house. We have had tons of fun with the new various math activities with the Star Wars Themed Number Printable and the Star Wars Daily Math. We have been working on factions a little bit at our house and I thought it would be fun to do a hands on fraction activity to see the fraction and the number equation with it.

This is a great hands-on way to learn more about fractions.

You are going to see 8 fractions per page. Each page has a part of a fraction or a whole. You can see part of the stormtrooper or all the stormtrooper in the different fractions. This lets a visual learner see the fractions. As you get a bigger fraction you can see more of the stormtrooper.

You can do some simple matching games for kids just learning fractions. You give them some fractions Stormtroopers and the number fractions and have them match them.

You can have them match up the fractions that are all the same. You can see all the different types that all match up the same.

There are so many different ways you can use these printables. We have had tons of fun using them! For long term use, I recommend laminating the pages and cards. The mat is fun to use with your learning. Kids can do have on looking for the matching fraction stormtrooper and fraction number. It makes learning fun!
