Stamping Words on Spider Webs

This summer we have had a rare treat to watch. We have had a spider that took up his home right outside out door. We watched him all summer. We saw the many different bugs and insects that he caught in his web. We learned he would rest and when he was on the hunt for more bugs.

After watching the spider all summer when picking books for this month’s Poppin Book Nook theme, we kept our spider in mind.

For that reason, we picked Charlotte’s Web (Trophy Newbery) for our book this month. We read it during the month. It was fun to read and do something different. Plus it tied in with our observartions for the summer.

We have watched our spider eat all sorts of things. I think the most amazing to watch was that he caught other spiders as well!
