September Virtual Book Club: Mo Willems

It is time for another introduction to the next Virtual Book Club Author: Mo Willems! I have to say he is a FAVORITE at our house! He has very fun books that are great for all ages and fun to read over and over! Plus selection of new authors for the 2014-2015 year. This is going to be a great year! Be sure to read all the way to the end to get all the details about the new year.

My girls are always wanting to read his books. Recently we read The Pigeon Needs a Bath! and just loved it! I always love to change my voice as I read them.

We have always loved the Piggie and Elephant books! They are great for beginner reader books for Kindergarten to Early First Grade. They have a Guided Reading of F & G for most of them. One that we read over and over is We Are in a Book! (An Elephant and Piggie Book). I can tell you that we have loved that book. I don’t know how many times we have read it and just laughed and laughed.

As we are starting a new year things are changing up a bit. Each month we will have an author and 3 of their books we will be featuring. This month for Mo Willems the books will be: Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale and The Duckling Gets a Cookie!? (Pigeon). I have to say I’m excited about it. There are many fun ideas that you can do with those books! The picked 3 great books.
