How to make the Paper Roll Rainbow
You are going to see the steps we used to make the paper roll rainbow
Paint On Paper Plates
We used paper plates to put our paint on and had a few colors on each plate. We used a small amount of paint and spread it around with the paper roll.
Start Painting the Rainbow
Then we use the paper roll to stamp the rainbow. We started with the color red at the top. You can see that we each picked our own way to make the rainbow.
If you want you can draw a line to help guide kids, but even if the rainbow is not perfect it is still fun to just stamp with paints. Let them decide how their rainbow will be.
Adding Each Row of Color to the Rainbow
After you finish the red move on to the next color of the rainbow. And remember these colors can overlap or be on their own row. It is still fun to make.
Keep Adding Rows of Color to the Rainbow
Just keep adding more colors of the rainbow. And remember this does not have to be a perfect rainbow. If they don’t do the full rainbow that is okay!
Talk About the Color of the Rainbow
You can also talk about the color of the rainbow as you make it. You can see a few examples questions below:
You can ask what things are red?
Where can you find something green?
What is your favorite item that is yellow?
Do you have a purple shirt?
Are there blue birds?
What season can you find a lot of the color orange?
If you used a rainbow book ask about what colors they saw in the book.
