I love having easy reader books. They are always fun for kids to have. I’m always looking for new ways to use our books. Today I have a fun New Year’s Eve themed easy reader books.

Easy reader books are fun because they work in simple sentences that kids can read over and over. They are great for work on one set of sight words while having fun with a theme.

Each of these books has fun New Year’s words with a few sight words.

I wanted to have something fun to add to our New Year’s Eve. The New Year’s Easy Reader Books are a great book for the beginner readers. You can flip through the book and work on the same sight words words over and over with the New Year’s Eve words.

How to Make the New Years Easy Reader Books

I always get asked how I make the easy reader books. Here are the simple steps that I use to make the books. I use scissors and a stapler.

Cut Down the Center of the New Years Easy Reader Book

You start by lining up the pages and cutting down the middle of the book. You want to make sure you hold the pages steady while you cut.

Alternate the Pages of the New Years Easy Reader Book

You alternate the pages of the book. The odd pages are on the top and the even pages on the bottom. You have even and then odd until all the pages are sorted.

Staple the Left side of the New Years Easy Reader Book

After you make sure all the pages of the book are lined up, staple the book on the left side. Then your easy reader book is ready to be used.

Simple New Years Easy Reader Book Printables

The first book just works on the New Years Words and the sight word “the”. It is simply for the beginner reader. It has the sight word and a picture themed pictures of items from New Year’s Eve.

New Years Easy Reader Book With Simple Sentence Printables

The second New Years Easy Reader Book has the same pictures but builds more on the sentence. This easy reader book uses the sight words: I, see, & the. This brings three of the common sight words together for kids to read.
