Christmas is almost here and I love the Nativity and someone asked if I was doing more this year. I had not put any extras out for it in a while so I thought I would this year.
This prewriting is a start. I love prewriting and that it gives us so much that we can do.
The Nativity Prewriting Printable is a great addition to the Nativity Printables and prewriting printables on the site.
This set of nativity prewriting printables matches up to the Nativity Pack 2.
So what is pre-writing?
Pre-writing is the skill to build to work up to writing letters and other types of writing. It also teaches the direction that we read.

Ways to use the Nativity Prewriting Printables
Setting up the Prewriting Center
You can set the Nativity prewriting worksheet as a center that you use one time. If kids are struggling with writing use the pencil grip to help keep fingers in place.
Then trace all the times on the page. Or trace two lines a day and use it all week.
Make a Prewriting Book
You can staple all the nativity prewriting pages together and make a books that they practice each day. They can use all the prewriting pages or just the level they need.
You can start with one type of line and progress to another line type in the book.
More Ways to use the Nativity Prewriting Printables
Prewriting does not have to be boring. Be sure to change up the tools you use with your writing practice.
Try using q-tips , triangular crayons or pip-squeaks markers. We have fun changing how we do the activities and so should you!
You could always just put stickers on the lines.
Use the Prewriting Printables for Cutting Practice
Don’t forget about just using them for cutting practice. My girls love to practice cutting with the prewriting pages. If they struggle with the paper being floppy print them on cards stock to help.
