Ways to use the Earth Day Playdough Mat Printables

You will see a few ways to use these Earth Day Playdough mats.

Setting up an Earth Day Playdough Mat Center

I like to put the playdough mats in sheet protectors so that I can switch out the pages and save a bit of money by not laminating everything. We use playdough or theraputty

Each of the playdough mats has a suggestion on them of what to do. You can always do something different. We had fun building continents on the earth. It is always fun to be creative.

Using the Flower Playdough Mat

The flower playdough mat is missing the petals on the flower. You are to have kids use playdough and make the petals for he flower. You can do a few petals or a lot of them. It all depends on what the child is making.

Using the Tree Playdough Mat

You have a tree on the page with just a few leaves. Kids are to add more leaves to the tree. They can add big leaves, small leaves.

You can also use leaf cookie cutters to help make leaves for the tree.

Using the Earth Playdough Mat

There are three Earth Playdough mats. You have an year with the ocean and the continents for kids to see. And you have a blue circle to add the continents to and a green circle to add the oceans. All three mats are great for learning about the land and the ocean.

You can match the green playdough and blue playdough to the land on the Earth playdough mat.

You can use the Earth playdough mat to see how to make the oceans or the continents on the green and blue circle playdough mats.

Using the Recycle Bin Playdough Mat

You have three colors of recycle bins to use with kids. Each playdough mat has kids filling the bins up. You can talk about items that go in recycle bins.

You could use different colors of playdough for paper, plastic and glass items. You could also write on the bins what types of items goes in each.
