Fun Hands-On Digraph Playdough Mats

I know that some kids love hands-on activities and that is just what these playdough mats are! It is a fun way to learn about digraphs with playdough mats.

I love having something I can use over and over. We have been using these mats with Meet the Phonics – Digraphs DVD.

Each digraph mat has two pictures that match up to the digraph playdough letters. I like to laminate or put in sheet protectors so I can use them over and over.

How we have used these Digraph Playdough Mats

One of the most basic ways to use these mats is to put them in a sheet protectors and pull out digraph you are working on and do the playdough letters. This last them work on fine motor skills while making the playdough letters. I know that my girls have always loved having the playdough mats.

Another way to do this is to make it a coloring page and do color the digraph letters with their favorite color. I love that coloring is always an option with playdough mats.
