There are so many great themes in this Free 4th of July pack. It has a mix of activities that work great for kids learning about the holiday and some USA themes.
I always get comments about how people love that these free printable packs have so much in them. I have always tried to add a mix of activities for kids to learn with.
You have fourth of July worksheets and hands-on activities for tot, preschool and kindergarten. Plus a few that work for first grade as well.

Books to Use with the 4th of July Pack
The 4th of July Pack was made to go with the book America the Beautiful: Together We Stand. It is a book with great quotes about American and historical information. Plus some information about American Landmarks.
Another great book to use with this pack is America The Beautiful – Celebrating America’s History, Landmarks, Parks, Artists, Food, Maps, And More!
I made this pack flexible in the themes so that it could be used for Fourth of July, Flag Day, and other USA themed holidays.

I’m going to share just a few of the pages from the free Fourth of July printable pack. There are over 75 pages in the main pack that have a mix of fourth of July worksheets and fourth of July hands-on activities.
Fourth of July Symbol Vocab Cards Printable
You have a set of flashcards that work on 4th of July symbols and independence day themes. You have the picture and matching word on the bottom.
You have the following words: bald eagle, flag, liberty bell, Mount Rushmore, Statue of Liberty, White House, fire works, star, and sparkler.
Fourth of July Symbol Cards 3 Part Cards Printable
These also have a set of matching 3 part cards for the fourth of July Pack. You match the picture and the word to the card. These work great to match in a desktop pocket chart.
4th of July Preschool Worksheet: Which One is Different
This is a great preschool fourth of July worksheet that has them finding in the pictures what is different. This is a great visual activity for kids to do. You can see that we used clear glass gems to cover what is different. It allows you to reuse this preschool worksheet.
Fourth of July Printables: What Comes Next?
These are great pattern activities that kids can work on learning what comes next in a pattern. These are great prek and kindergarten worksheets. You have different ABC patterns on the page.
4th of July Prewriting Practice Dashed Lines
You have two Fourth of July prewriting worksheets. These are great preschool fourth of July worksheets for pre writing. You have two levels of lines for kids to work on. You have some basic lines and a more complex line for kids to trace.
Fourth of July Pattern Cards
You have a set of pattern cards for making ABC patterns. You have an eagle, a flag and the Liberty Bell for the pattern Cards. You can make AB and ABC patterns with all the cards.
You can print the page twice to have more cards to use to make patterns.
Fourth of July Matching Cards
You have similar cards to the Fourth of July vocab cards but with a matching card set. It has 12 different pictures for kids to match. You can keep one page together and one cut up and do a matching activity for the page.
Fourth of July Shadow Matching Cards – Hands-on Activity
You have the same set of cards as the matching cards but you have a set of with color and solid black for the matching of the shadow of the picture. You can cut both sets our and do the matching activity.
Fourth of July 4 Piece Puzzles – Hands-on Activity
You have fun fourth of July puzzles for kids to use. The four piece puzzles have several of the same images from the cards. these are fun to see if they can match all the pieces. You can use some of the symbol cards to help match the pieces.
Fourth of July 10 Piece Puzzles
You have three 10 piece puzzles in the set. You have 1 to 10, 11 to 20 and skip counting by 5 with 5 to 50.
The first 10 piece puzzles are great for kindergarten and prek kids to work on counting from 1 to 10 and 11 to 20.
The skip counting puzzle works on 5 to 50 and is great for kindergarten and first grade kids to work on learning skip counting.
Fourth of July Beginning Sounds
You have fourth of July worksheets or clip cards. It has all nine pictures from the Fourth of July vocab cards. Each picture has three letters below for kids to clip the beginning sound for the picture.
You can keep the page together and circle the beginning sound. Or print on cardstock and use it as as clip card for beginning sounds.
Fourth of July Pocket Chart Cards
The Fourth of July pocket chart cards has the name words as the vocab cards. You have bald eagle, flag, liberty bell, Mount Rushmore, Statue of Liberty, White House, fire works, star, sparkler, and hat.
Fourth of July Beginning Sound Letter Writing Strips
You have the same words as the pocket chart cards with tracing the beginning sounds for each picture.
The letter tracing strips come in lowercase only and uppercase and lowercase letters together. You can use which strip works best for you.
Fourth of July Word Tracing Strips
You have the same words as the pocket chart cards. You have the full word for kids to trace. A great way to work on handwriting and vocab at the same time.
Fourth of July Writing Words Strips
You have a version that has the picture and writing guidelines. This allows you to write the vocab words, or you could also work on writing the beginning sounds for each picture.
Liberty Bell Size Sequencing – Hands-on Activity
You have a Liberty Bell in 5 different sizes. Kids can work on sequencing the size from smallest to biggest and biggest to smallest. And a great way to compare the differences in the sizes.
Flag Size Sorting – Hands-on Activity
You have a sorting math with small, medium and large for the sizes. You cut out the flag and give them mix of flags for kids to sort to the correct part of the sorting mat.
Writing sentence with US Words
You have a writing page with a word and a picture of the word. Kids are to write a sentence about the words.
You have the following words: Liberty Bell, bald eagle, Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, White House
Fourth of July Draw & Write Worksheet for Kindergarten and First Grade
The draw and write worksheet is where you are given what you should write about and then draw a matching picture. These can be as simple or complex as you like.
Fourth of July Color And Trace Printable
You have a page that has two letters to color, a sentence to trace, and a matching picture. You have several pictures to pick from Liberty Bell, bald eagle, Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, and White House. You have the beginning sound on each of the pages to color and the sentence matches the picture.
Matching Picture & Trace Word
You have the nine words from the pack with the picture on the right side and on the left side is the words to trace. Kids are to match the picture to the words and then trace the words as they do the matching.
Fourth of July Printable: Shadow Matching Worksheet
This is a great 4th of July preschool worksheet for kids to look at a picture and match the shadow. You can see how the pictures also match up with the rest of the pack. The pack also includes shadow matching cards. You can use the shadow matching cards with the worksheet.
Matching Pictures Worksheet
You have a worksheet with the nine pictures from the pack. You look at the picture and find the same picture on the other side of the worksheet. It is an easy matching worksheets for kids.
Fourth of July Color By Size Statue of Liberty and Math Worksheet
There are some fun Fourth of July math printables in the pack. You can see the color by size that works on small, medium, and large. Plus there is a match math worksheet for kids to graph and answer questions.
Fireworks Addition Mat
You have a firework addition mat. It has the equation at the bottom for kids to fill out and then use the fireworks for doing the addition on the page. Kids can have fun building and solving addition problems.
Fireworks Subtraction Mat
You have a firework subtraction mat. It has the subtraction equation at the bottom. You use the numbers from the pack to make a subtraction equation. if you need equations for kids to build you can use the subtraction flashcards.
Fireworks Greater Than/Less Than Mat
You have a firework mat to compare numbers with greater than, less than and equal signs to use. You can give kids a mix of the numbers from the pack and then have them compare the numbers by using the fireworks to make the numbers and see which has more.
Fireworks Counting Mat
You have a simple counting mat for fireworks. You have numbers 1 to 20 with 20 fireworks that you can use with the counting mat. This is a great hands-on counting activity for kids in prek and kindergarten.
100 Chart Flag Worksheet
There are two 100 charts for the flag. You have one 100 to color and one that is filled out that you can match colors. The Flag 100 chart printable is a great fourth of July worksheet for kindergarten. Plus it also works great for flag day.
Roll & Count (1-5, 1-10, 1-20) Roll & Count Questions
The set has three roll and count math printables. You have 1 to 5, 1 to 10, and 1 to 20. These are great for working on graphing. After you have does the graphing you can do the math questions. The fourth of July math worksheet has the 6 items from the roll and count. You fill in images at the top and then do the math questions below. It is a fun way to change up how you do your math.
Flag Color the Pattern
You have six rows of flags for kids to work on coloring patterns. You can do AB and ABC patterns on the flags. This is a great pattern worksheet for kids.
Fill in the Missing Pattern
You have a worksheet with different AB and ABC patterns. Each row has two parts of the pattern that are missing. Kids are to cut out the images below and paste them in to finish each of the patterns.
Fourth of July Printable Small Folding Books
You will find two small folding books in the Fourth of July Pack. This is an eight page folding book. You have a version with the words in print and a version with the words to trace. The seven words in the book match the word cards in the pack.

Read – Write – Stamp – Cut and Paste
You have a page where you trace the words, Stamp the words and then cut and paste the letters to make the words. A great way to work on vocab and spelling for words. You have some of the vocab from the pack.
Q-Tip Flag Worksheet
You have an American flag made out of small circles. These are great for fine motor work for painting with q-tips. You have red and blue circles for the colors. there is black for the write dots. A great fine motor activity for kids to do.

Fourth of July Flag Tracing Printable
The Flag tracing printable is a great fine motor trace and color printable that is great for older kids who need a little more fine motor work.

Ways to use the Fourth of July Tot & Preschool Pack
There are loads of fun pages in the fourth of July tot and preschool age pack. I’m going to show a few of them to you.
Fourth of July Printable Tot & Preschool Pre-Writing with Thick Lines
You have some very simple prewriting lines that have a thick line for kids to trace. You have six different prewriting lines. You can see we have put the page in a sheet protector so that you can trace the page over and over with dry erase markers.
Fourth of July Printable Tot Which is Different?
There is a simple which is different. There are three different image sets on the page. You can see that we used clear counters to make which one was different.
Color the Small Items
You have three rows of pictures. Each row has three sizes of images. You have kids color the smallest picture in each row. It is a great way to work on size.
Fourth of July Printable Two Piece Puzzles
These are simple puzzles that have the images in two parts for kids to match. The puzzles are perfect for tot and preschool age kids. I recommend printing the puzzles on cardstock to help them last longer. Or you can let kids cut out the puzzles.
Color the Statue of Liberty Coloring Small Book
A simple book for coloring the statue of Liberty different colors while reading a simple book. There are 11 colors in the book.
Fourth of July Matching Cards
These are the same Fourth of July matching cards from the main pack. You want to print the cards twice and then cut out the cards to do the matching.
You can also leave one set of cards together and have kids match the pictures that way.
Fourth of July Printable Nine Piece Puzzles
This is a more complex puzzle but is a great matching activity. You can print it on cardstock twice and have kids match the pieces and work up to doing the puzzle on their own.
4th of July Picture Matching Worksheets
You have four pictures on each page. Kids can draw a line from the left side to the right side to match the picture that is the same. You have three different matching worksheets for kids to do.
Fourth of July Roll & Count 1 to 5 Printable
You have a fun roll and count for 1 to 5. There is a folding dice with the six Fourth of July images and a matching recording sheet. You can color the sheet. Or you can use hands-on items to mark the graphing. You can see we used unifix cubes.
Shape Tracing Thick Lines
You have a page with nine different shapes for kids to trace. Each shape has a fun Fourth of July theme in the center.
Shape Tracing Thin Lines
You have a second shape tracing worksheet with the same nine shapes and pictures but the lines are a thin dashed line. You can use the first page and work up to this second page.
Dot the Letter B – Bald Eagle
You have an uppercase B for kids to dot. Then you have a picture of the bald eagle on the page. there is also the words for kids to trace.
Dot the Letter S – S is for Statue of Liberty
You have an uppercase letter S for kids to dot. There is a picture of the Statue of Liberty with the words State of Liberty for kids to trace.
Dot the Letter F – F is for Flag
You have an uppercase letter F for kids to dot. There is a picture of a flag and then the word flag for kids to trace.
Lacing Cards: Three Options
You have three lacing card options. You have the Statue of Liberty, Liberty Bell and an American Flag. Each picture has small circles around them. You use a hole punch on the small circles and then use string to lace the cards.
You can use the picture that words best for your theme you are doing.
S Tot Coloring Page
You have a letter S tot coloring page. It has sparkler, Statue of Liberty and star for the letter s pictures. Each pictures has the word under it. And you have a letter S to trace and color.
