Four Leaf Clover Themed Wreath for St Patrick’s Day
I love the paper plate wreaths. They are super easy to prepare and make. We have had fun adding more of them each season.
Today we have a fun four-leaf clover themed wreath for St. Patrick’s Day. It is fun with clover and gold coins for a super fun wreath that is simple and easy to make.
Plus it goes great with any St. Patrick’s day theme and is great for fine motor work without kids knowing they are doing fine motor work.
We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission.
I always love it when I can add something new each time a new theme comes around and St. Patrick’s Day always has some fun themes!
I also like when we can team up a book and craft together. This time we read the book Pete the Cat: The Great Leprechaun Chase. It is fun to read the books and enjoy the activities.
What you need for this St. Patrick’s Day Wreath
- lime green dot marker
- green scrapbook paper
- paper plate with center cut out
- green glitter paper
- yellow glitter paper
- glue
- 5/8 inch circle punch
- clover punch
How to make the Clover Themed Wreath
First, you start off dot markering the paper plate. I use dot markers because they dry faster than paint. It is also easy for kids to different ages to use.
You can cover the plate as much or as little as you want. We can also set the plate aside and other parts of the craft while it quickly dries.
While the plate is drying we punch out the clovers and yellow circles. I have them do the punches because it works fine motor skills and it also gives pressure to the hands as they punch for my sensory seeker. We made several of each of the clovers and circles.
You can prepare this ahead of time if you want the craft to go faster.
The final step is we glue the items on the plate. You can glue them any way you want. It does not matter. That is what makes these wreaths fun.
You can have a fun time watching how much or how little they put on the wreath.
