Easy to Make Felt Board Pieces
I use a lot of felt board stuff with my girls. You can’t always find the items or pictures you want but there is an easy way to make them.
What you need: scissors, Velcro Sticky Back 5/8 Coins of Hook only, Scotch Thermal Laminator , Scotch Thermal Pouches and Medieval Pack Part 5 Telling Story Pieces.
Print the pages you want to laminate. I printed the Telling Story from the Medieval Pack.
Laminate the pages. I use the Scotch Thermal Laminator . I’ve had it for 3 years now and love it!
Cut out the pictures. You can cut as close to the pictures as you want. I tend to leave a little room around the pictures.
Put the hook on the back of the picture. I put it as close to the top. If it is a big picture I might put one top and bottom.
Use on the felt board.
This is just one way I use the printables. It is easy and fun!

Doesn’t the velcro mess with the felt though? I seem to remember when I was teaching trying this with felt and the felt started getting torn up.
Not as much as you think. The smaller the piece of velcro the less it does. I’ve been using it on my boards for ages. It makes my life easier to have easy to make felt board pieces.
I love this. I’ve always been rather, umm, rather nervious about creating felt board pieces because I didn’t know how to print on felt. Well now don’t I feel like a twit, LOL. Thanks for sharing
You are welcome!
Thanks Cassie! I’m the mom up for story time this week at the library and I think I now have a plan 🙂
Glad that I could help!
What a great idea! I have used this method for a quiet book, but I never thought to use it for a felt board. Cool.
I have used it for both. It is fun and easy! Plus my girls love it.
I really like these printables! My children will be having lots of fun with them now as I’ve just made them a flannel board from a white board this week.
I’m glad you like them!
This is a great idea! I love reusable activities. And I love my Scotch laminator! Don’t know how I survived before I purchased it. The best purchase I ever made. Thanks for sharing this neat activity. I will pin:)
I love having things I can use over and over!
