What is Addition?

Addition is defined as adding something to something else. So that is adding different things together.

An example is 2 + 2 = 4. That is a simple addition equation. You are adding two different sets of two together to make four.

Easter Ten Frame Addition Cards

These are ten frame addition cards. They have a great Easter egg theme. These have a box with ten spaces to show adding up to 10 or you can do within ten as well.

Each card has an equation for kids to fill in or finish filling in on the card.

I recommend printing on cardstock and laminating these cards to help last longer.

Ways to Use the Easter Ten Frame Addition Cards Printable

I’m going to show you some of the ways we have used the addition ten frame cards and recording sheet.

Completing the Additon Equation

You can start off with the cards that have you complain the equation. You can see the equation at the top of the card. Then use mini eraser to fill in the rest of the equation. Then write the answer with a dry eraser marker.

Fill in the Addition Equation on the Ten Frame

There are many ways you can do this, but I love to use unfix cubes. YOu use two colors. They can pick the colors of set colors up in advance. Then they use the two colors to build the addition equation on the ten frame.

If you have seasonal erasers then use those! This is super simple and easy to do. We got a lot of our erasers at Target. But you can find some on Amazon.

You can see that we used two bunny eraser colors to fill the equation.

Using Easter Ten Frame Addition Recording Sheet

The Easter ten frame addition recording sheet has space for all 12 cards. YOu can use either set of cards with kids. You can use which fits best with their addition skills.

They can use the cards and two colors of crayons to fill out the equations on the paper. Then solve the equations. This makes an easy addition math center.
