Book Finds March 2014
This months book are books we own. I love the library but once a month I’ll go to a book store with the girls and pick up new books. I always ask the person in the store what book they like. These are some of those books that got recommended, expect for one.
Bedtime for Mommy is a great book about bedtime and how the a girl puts mommy to bed. I got this book as a gift for me and I love it for the girls and we have read it a lot. The first time I read it to the girls they laughed until they realized that do some of the things that happen. It is fun and a great read and laugh for everyone.
Shadowville is a great book about what happens to our shadows at night! We have read this and made some fun shadows after we read that book.
What Will Hatch? is a great book for Spring. This gives you a picture of an eggs and then your turn the page and see what hatches. The girls loved this one and so do I. I like how you can look for the eggs and there is a hole in part of the egg or eggs. That part matches what comes on the next page. Plus some pages you have to look carefully for the eggs.
Some Bugs is a great description of bugs in simple words and great pictures. I love all the cute pictures of the bugs. It is a great example of a book that describe bugs in action words. You can also learn the word “some” for beginner readers. The last page tells you all the names of the bugs and is great to look at.
Lion vs Rabbit is book about Lion who is a Bully. This is about how he get taught a lesson by a clever rabbit. In the book he bullies everyone where he lives and the animals put an ad out for help. Lots of animals answer the ad and it does not work out. The final animal was a rabbit. I love how the book goes. Lion learns his lesson. I love how the book goes.
